What are some other ways I can help?

  • Donate to your local box

  • Spread the word about our project

  • Help us maintain our existing boxes by cleaning out bugs, dirt, or trash if you see it

  • Share our social media pages with your friends

What should I donate?

In addition to non-perishable food you can donate toiletries and personal care items. Diapers and wipes always go quickly.

What if someone takes all the food from the box?

Then they must have needed it. This is a judgment-free project. You can't steal things that are free.

Who really benefits from the Blessing Box?

Seniors on fixed incomes, employed people with unexpected expenses, college students, homeless people, financially burdened people…the list goes on, but the real answer is we don't know. The items are taken anonymously, so we could be helping one person or one hundred.

Can I build a Blessing Box for my neighborhood/church/business?

Absolutely! We will send you a decal and a metal disclaimer plate, add you to our list of locations and help you promote your Blessing Box. We will also send you a copy of the plans we use.

A few tips: Use treated wood if possible; place the box in a location where cars can safely pull off the road and access it; put the box in the shade if you can; and make sure you have permission from the landowner/landlord/HOA if applicable.
